Canvas 5: Micromax likely to unveil its new flagship smartphone on June 18

New Delhi: It has been almost two years that we saw Micromax introduce an updated model of its flagship Canvas 4 device. But, with the company’s latest invite, we are likely to see its next variant, the Canvas 5, unveiled on June 18.

Micromax's latest product launch invite doesn’t reveal much, except for a “mystery prisoner” expected to be set free on the said date.

If the purported Micromax Canvas 5 is revealed this week, it is likely to have a FHD display, a MediaTek Helio processor, and a 16 megapixel rear camera.

Although the company has been churning out new phones at an astounding rate, its flagship Canvas 4 was introduced in 2013 and the company was hopeful of introducing its next model in the following year.

Whether it finally introduces a Canvas 5 or continues to deliver affordable smartphones under the Canvas lineup, shall only be revealed soon.
