OnePlus Nord CE 4 India Launch Date Confirmed For April: What We Can Expect

OnePlus is set to broaden its budget-friendly Nord smartphone series in India. The Chinese smartphone manufacturer has revealed that the OnePlus Nord CE 4 is scheduled to launch in the country on April 1, 2024, at 6:30 pm.

Serving as the successor to the OnePlus Nord CE3 5G and Nord CE2, this new smartphone is anticipated to bring enhanced features and design. Additionally, OnePlus has provided a glimpse of the upcoming device through a released photograph, giving enthusiasts a peek into its design aesthetics.

The yet-to-be-launched OnePlus Nord CE 4 smartphone will have two rear cameras positioned in a rectangle, according to the image shared by the company. The smartphone is expected to pose significant competition to smartphone manufacturers in the sub-Rs 25,000 pricing range.

The OnePlus Nord CE4, which is powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor, promises enhanced CPU and GPU performance as well as power savings. The smartphone will be offered in two colour options: Dark Chrome and Celadon Marble.

According to OnePlus, the new chipset improves CPU speed by 15%, GPU performance by 50%, and power efficiency by 20%, raising the OnePlus Nord CE4 above its predecessors while maintaining the entire user experience and design.

The phone will include two cameras and a ring flashlight. The back features a marble-like appearance, similar to previous new-generation OnePlus devices. The phone's sides are flat, and the image suggests that it also has something similar to an IR blaster.

According to some leaked photographs, the phone may have a selfie camera hole in the middle of the screen, as well as an AMOLED display with a fingerprint scanner embedded in it, as per Business Today.

Previously, the model was spotted on the Camera FV-5 platform. It is speculated to feature a primary camera with a 50MP sensor, although it typically captures images at 12.6MP resolution to conserve storage space. The main camera is expected to have an aperture of f/1.8 and come equipped with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) and Electronic Image Stabilisation (EIS) for steady shooting. Additionally, the phone is rumoured to sport a 16MP front camera for capturing selfies.

The soon-to-be-launched OnePlus Nord CE 4 will be available online at OnePlus.in and Amazon.in, much like all previous OnePlus smartphones.

According to OnePlus, it has reported 33% year-on-year rise in 2023, solidifying its position in the inexpensive premium market. The brand also saw a 13% YoY increase in smartphone shipments, with the OnePlus Nord CE3 Lite among the top models shipped. The new Nord CE will be competing with the newly launched Nothing Phone 2a and the iQOO Z9 models in the market.
