New Delhi: Real treehouses are a thing of the past. In 2015, you have a solar-powered elevated house that offers you mood lighting, 360-degree view from its transparent walls, WiFi, and much more.
Dubbed ‘The Skysphere’, the innovative elevated room has been designed by plastics engineer and graphic designer, Jono Williams who wanted to build a treehouse which isn’t really a treehouse.
Installed in Linton, New Zealand, the Skysphere is a circular single room accessible by a ladder at the base and offers a complete view of the surrounding countryside.
Highlight of this modern treehouse is its solar-powered structure that is necessary for all of its gadgets, Mashable notes.
The one-room hideout has high-speed Internet, coloured mood lighting, wireless sound system, a refrigerated beer dispenser and fingerprint-based access; all controlled through a smartphone app.
Too bad, it doesn’t have a functioning bathroom.
