Hina Khan Called Mahima Chaudhry Right After Cancer Diagnosis, Here's What She Said

Actress Hina Khan was diagnosed with stage three breast cancer earlier this year. She shared this shocking news with her fans through a social media post, confirming the speculations that went on for some time. Since the announcement, several celebrities, including her friends in the industry, have come forward to support the actress in this challenging phase of her life. Among them was Mahima Chaudhry, a cancer survivor herself.

The Dhadkan actress, who was away from showbiz for a while, was diagnosed with breast cancer, and she was treated successfully in 2022. Recently, Mahima sat for an interview with India Today Digital and shared that she was one of the first people Hina reached out to after her cancer diagnosis. “I was the first person Hina called after she was diagnosed with cancer. I felt good that she remembered me at such a crucial time in her life. She was considering going to America for her treatment, but I told her that we have everything available here in India and that she can treat herself here,” said the Baghban actress.

Mahima mentioned that she convinced Hina to get her treatment in India as the required medicine and facilities are available in the country itself. She continued, “I convinced Hina to get treated here in India itself because, let me tell you, even in America, it’s Indian doctors who will be treating her. At the end of the day, it’s the same medicine, same doctors and the same treatment, and we have all of it now available in India. So why leave the country, the comfort of your family and friends and move someplace else?”

Not long ago, Hina took to her Instagram account to share a picture with Mahima from her first chemo session in the hospital. She posted the pictures to wish the actress a happy birthday. Sharing those pictures, the Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai actress penned a note, which opened with, “This Picture is from the Day of My Very First Chemo. And this Angel of a Woman surprised me all of a sudden in the hospital.” Further, Hina revealed that the Pardes actress has stood beside her from day one, giving her the necessary guidance “during this toughest phase of” her life.

Meanwhile, Hina’s battle against cancer has become inspiring to many people. The actress chose to proudly wear her scars and educate people about the disease and treatment. Secondly, despite undergoing chemotherapy, the actress is courageously fulfilling her professional commitments, impressing everyone with her resilience.
