Many of us follow our favourite celebrities and actors on social media, even when their content becomes predictably repetitive. These posts often revolve around promotions for upcoming movies, collaborations, and brand endorsements, offering limited glimpses into the actor’s authentic life or personality. However, among the thousands of celebrity accounts of social media, there’s one who has taken the initiative to tickle a funny bone of their fans and has been successfully doing so for quite some time now. The one legendary actor we are talking about is Dalip Tahil whose Instagram account stands out as a breath of fresh air.
At the age of 71, the actor boldly declares in his Instagram bio, ‘I’m too old to be doing this ****,’ welcoming fans for unique and entertaining content. His account has almost transformed into a delightful meme page that has captured the hearts of many. He also connects to his fans via some lively interaction among his followers, evident in the form of witty and humourous comments on his reels.
One noteworthy instance showcases Tahil’s playful side when he jokingly attributed the blame for Hrithik Roshan’s demise in Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai to Anupam Kher.

Another one of his reels is what he calls a “reelception.” He takes a bite of food while remembering taking another bite of food earlier and then goes on to remember a scene from one of his films from his younger days. In that scene, he is seated on a dining table and is being served food when he says “ek hi din me sab kuch khila dogi kya? (You feed me everything in one day itself).”

“When your social media team makes you break all the rules and you agree,” reads the caption over another reel of Dalip Tahil. In this one, he can be seen singing Taylor Swift’s Look what you made me do song while he pans the camera towards his social media team members. The reel then goes on to read his bio and show the number of his followers increasing. Finally it says, “I am just getting started.”

A recent reel of his talks about a comment he often receives. In this video, Dalip Tahil sits and talks to the viewers. “Daddy Tahil Says Hi,” a text on the video reads while he mentions that he receives this comment a lot. He says “I get, so here’s to you all my children, a very good morning to you from Daddy Tahil.” To make the reel funnier, Dalip even hums the song Papa Kehte hain bada naam karega, while it also plays in the background.

In the most recent reel he has uploaded, he has hopped on to the extremely popular ‘Moye moye’ trend with a unique twist. In this one, he can be seen putting a sack in the back of his car while the video reads “Beti ka th mang raha tha. Ab nahi maang paega. (He was asking for my daughter’s hand in marriage, now he won’t be able to.)”
