A total solar visible from the skies of Mexico, the US and Canada delighted millions of citizens. During the rare phenomena, the Moon moved between the Earth and the sun, momentarily covering the sun’s light and creating a breathtaking view. As per Forbes report, it lasted for about 4 minutes and 26 seconds and it was North America’s first total solar eclipse in six years. Residents of a few fortunate regions such as Perryville, Cape Girardeau in Missouri, Paducah in Kentucky and others in Illinois, experienced this event twice, first in 2017 and again on April 8, 2024.

Along the eclipse’s path, various events like festivals, viewing parties and even mass weddings were organised. However, residents of Texas were disappointed due to cloudy weather.
