Restaurant aggregator and food delivery firm Zomato celebrated its 16th birthday recently with pomp and fervour. The delivery giant was established in 2008 jointly by Deepinder Goyal and Pankaj Chaddah. To mark the occasion, Deepinder Goyal toasted Zomato’s big day with a bunch of students at Vidya School, Gurugram — a Zomato Feeding India-supported institution. He also posted some visuals from the joyous event on his Instagram account.
In a video, Deepinder Goyal can be seen cutting a chocolate cake while being surrounded by the school kids who are singing the ‘Happy Birthday’ track. The Zomato founder then feeds a piece of the cake to a child standing adjacent to him.

In another video, the school children can be seen taking part in a musical chair game. Overall, it was a fun-filled affair for the entire Zomato family. The post also included photos of birthday cards, origami flowers and a glimpse of the lunch meal by Feeding India. “Spent the first part of Zomato’s 16th birthday visiting and celebrating with kids at a Zomato Feeding India-supported school. Received much love, and so so many high fives,” read the caption of Goyal’s post.
Social media users swamped the comment section with their heartfelt birthday wishes for the food delivery giant. A user stated, “Hey, I want to be part of the celebration, do share the location.” Another noted, “Happy Birthday dear @deepigoyal @zomato many more birthdays to go.”
An individual said, “Happy Birthday Zomato! Great to see you supporting schools!” “That’s my school. Thank you for your support,” a comment also read.
Munoz also shared pictures from the occasion. “Happy 16th @zomato. Absolutely loved all the kids and their energy. Thank you @feedingindia for having me at Vidya School, Gurugram. Had tons of fun talking about cricket with all the kids (with my limited knowledge of cricket),” she noted.
