Tourist Drops Soft Drink Bottle In Panda Enclosure. What Happens Next Is Too Cute To Miss
The panda named YuKe was seen biting the plastic bottle after it fell into its enclosure.

Dropping trash or belongings in zoos is unfortunately a common problem among visitors. Sometimes things like phones or water bottles slip out of hands unintentionally, while there are times when tourists openly discard trash instead of utilising bins. In a recent incident, a tourist accidentally dropped a soft drink bottle into a panda enclosure. Upon spotting the bottle, the curious panda named YuKe quickly approached the unfamiliar object and tried to grab it.

Efforts were made to retrieve the bottle with tongs but were unsuccessful. Later, presumably, a caretaker entered the enclosure and exchanged the bottle for an apple. Without any delay, the panda swapped the bottle for the apple and began enjoying its snack.

A video of the same has surfaced on the internet. The caption read, “A tourist dropped a Coke, which was spotted by YuKe. Fortunately, he hadn’t bitten the bottle yet. Nanny Li tried to pick up the Coke with tongs but failed, so she quickly went in to get an apple to exchange for the Coke with YuKe. Please tourists, take care of your belongings and refrain from feeding the pandas. It’s very dangerous if pandas ingest something they shouldn’t.”

The clip sparked discussions among users, with many expressing concerns about the potential risks of dropping belongings in animals’ enclosures. However, others found the video adorable and appreciated the panda’s choice to “exchange the sugary drink for a healthier option.”

“That cute baby panda is not so hard to deal with, when she saw the Apple, she was like okay good exchange but seriously tho, those people need to be banned from going there again,” a comment read.

Another user added, “YuKe is a smart baby and picks healthy fruit over a sugary soda.”

“Can’t imagine if this was an adult panda and keeper cannot go in to grab the bottle, what would happen then?” expressed a user.

Raising concern about the carelessness of people, a user said, “I really don’t understand how those people can keep dropping things! Can they be extra careful??? Don’t give more troubles to the nannies please! They are busy enough!”

“Panda mind voice…so everything I eat taste same… hmm,” read a comment.
