A video showcasing one of the world’s narrowest roads has taken social media by storm. You will be surprised to know that a traffic signal is also installed at the road’s entrance, which is used by pedestrians.
The video was posted on Instagram by an account named Rohit Singh. The caption of the post read, “World’s narrowest road.” In the viral clip, a man is seen standing at the entrance of the road, and then a woman is seen on the other side. There is a traffic signal at the beginning of the road. That means before entering this lane you have to turn on the signal so that no one else comes from the other side because this lane is so narrow that two people cannot pass together in opposite directions. Another video is also posted by the account Megan Homme on Instagram of the same road with the caption, “First stop in Prague.” “The narrowest street in Prague has its traffic light,” the text description of the post read.
Let us tell you that this road is located in Prague’s oldest area, Mala Strana, whose length is 32 feet. At the same time, the width of this road is just 19 inches. To ensure that commuters do not get stuck in the middle of the road, two traffic lights are installed at the entrance on both sides. These traffic lights are for signalling, which tells that someone is coming on the way. Those passing through this road have to press the button, turn the signal on and pass only when there is a green signal. If someone does not follow the signal, he will get stuck in the middle of the way. It will also be difficult to return. It is said that this signal was installed for the convenience of the people.
The video is going viral and has garnered several likes and comments from users. In most of the comments, people are calling the roads of India much narrower than this. Commenting on the video, one user said, “Habibi Come to India.”
