Zomato Trains Delivery Partners To Give CPR, Carry Medical Kits For Roadside Emergencies
Zomato also announced that their delivery partners will have a green plus sign on their bags, which would suggest that they will carry first aid kits for medical assistance.

Food delivery platform Zomato has decided to train its executives to provide medical help during roadside emergencies. The company recently organised a unique programme to teach their delivery partners vital survival skills, and in the process, set a Guinness World Record for the largest first aid session at a single venue. The food delivery company’s efforts have been lauded by people on social media.

Announcing it on social media, Deepinder Goyal, the CEO of Zomato, wrote, “Yesterday in Mumbai, we broke the Guinness World Records for the largest first aid lesson at a single venue, together with 4,300 delivery partners. Over 30,000 @zomato delivery partners are now professionally trained to provide medical aid and help during critical roadside emergencies. Salute and a big thank you to these Emergency Heroes of India.”

Zomato also announced that their delivery partners will also have a green plus sign on their bags, suggesting they are carrying first aid kits for medical assistance.

In another post on X, Zomato revealed that 30,000 of their delivery partners have received professional training to give first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in case of critical road emergencies. This will equip their delivery partners with the right knowledge and resources if there is a roadside emergency. Continuing in the post, the company also said, “But we hope you never need it,” and expressed gratitude towards their delivery partners.

Once posted, many went to the comment section to appreciate the effort of the food delivery company. One of the users wrote, “That’s amazing. Just a question. Are you compensating your delivery partners well? They are the ones who are kind of making it happen because without them, neither you nor us can be satisfied.”

Another user commented, “That’s an amazing initiative taken by Zomato, and I hope more companies that involve logistics take such initiatives.”
