Nineteen-year-old Austin Harrouff, football athlete from Florida State University, was arrested on Monday after brutally murdering an elderly couple and chewing one of the victims' faces like cannibal.
As per media reports, Austin was dining with his parents at a local sports bar when he suddenly became agitated. He followed the couple identified as - Michelle Mishcon (53) and her husband John StevensI (59) - and brutally killed them with switchblade inside a garage.
One of their neighbours too injured in the attack while saving the elderly couple. According to media reports, he savagely attacked the couple and a neighbor with switchblade who tried to intervene.
Local police found Austin 'grunting and growling' and 'making animal noises' over one of the bodies while gruesomely tearing chunks out of the man's face with his teeth.
"The cops had difficulty in dealing with the suspect. They fired multiple shots, but the suspect appeared unperturbed. Even the police sniffer dog failed to stop him," Martin County Sheriff William Snyder said.
Police described the incident as completely unprovoked and random attack.
