BLOOMINGTON, Ind.: Mackenzie Holmes got her second double-double of the season, Grace Berger scored 16 points, and No. 10 Indiana beat Western Michigan 67-57 on Sunday.
Holmes grabbed her 10th rebound just under two minutes into the second half and finished the game with 17 points and 19 rebounds. She set a career high in rebounds one game after scoring a career-best 30 points against Ohio State.
Reilly Jacobson was Western Michigans leading scorer with 16 points. Taylor Williams added a double-double of her own with 15 points and 13 rebounds.
Indiana shot only 2 for 16 from 3-point range, but attacked the basket down low and scored 38 points inside. Indiana also outrebounded Western Michigan 47-29 and turned 18 offensive rebounds into 11 second-chance points.
The Broncos relied on 3-point shooting in the first half, taking 13 of their 25 shots from beyond the arc and making four to remain in the game. They went cold in the second half, only making 4 of 12, including 1 for 8 in the half, allowing Indiana to pull away.
Western Michigan had 20 fouls, surrendering 29 free throws. Indiana shot 66% from the line.
