It has been officially confirmed that Muhammad Ali is the latest entry for WWE’s Hall of Fame. He will join Paul Heyman, Bull Nakano, and U.S. Express among the class of 2024.
Ali is widely regarded as among the most influential sporting figures of all time. He is also considered one of the greatest heavyweight boxers in the sport’s history having won the heavyweight title thrice in his career.
His influence went beyond sports with roles as an activist, and artist, and his personality established him as one of the most well-known figures in the entire world.

Known as ‘The Greatest’, he started his boxing career with a 31-fight win streak. He went on to finish his career with a record of 56-5 which includes 37 knockouts.
The WWE officially confirmed the news with a post on their official handle which confirmed the same.

The icon had a brief stint in the WWE in the event “The War of the Worlds” where he was part of an exhibition match against WWE Hall of Famer Antonio Inoki inside the Nippon Budokan arena in Tokyo, Japan. The match was competed under specific rules which resulted in a 15-round draw in front of 32,000 fans.
This event turned out to be a huge success and brought many new fans into the then relatively unknown space and in all certainty played a big role in making the WWE what it is known today.

Following his retirement from boxing, Ali made his return to the WWE where he was the special guest referee during the inaugural edition of Wrestlemania in 1984 for the main-event clash between Hulk Hogan and Mr T again ‘Rowdy’ Roddy Piper and ‘Mr Wonderful’ Paul Orndorff.
On June 3rd, 2016, at the age of 74, Ali passed away but his name remains as one of the most impactful figures in sports history.
