The 3 day round of Maruti Suzuki Autoprix 2017 (Season 1) successfully concluded today at Leisure Valley Grounds. The 5th round witnessed turn-out of more than 300 participants from Delhi-NCR and neighbouring cities, showcasing their skills on the track and making this round an exciting contest. The strategically designed course posed a challenge for the competitors and the neck-to-neck competition gave the crowd a solid reason to cheer.
The event culminated with 3 participants emerging as winners:
•Vishal Kataria emerged as the fastest amateur participant
•Aabhishek Mishra won the spot of the overall fastest contestant
•Bani Yadav was the fastest female racer across categories
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Aman Dhingra, Deputy General Manager- Marketing, Maruti Suzuki India Limited, said, “It is heartening to see the overwhelming success and participation that Maruti Suzuki Autoprix 2017 has garnered across the country, especially Gurugram. Our objective is to encourage safe yet fun and thrilling racing experiences and enable budding racers to hone their skills in a controlled environment. We are sure that the enthusiasm, energy and skills of the participants will make Autoprix 2017 a resounding success this year."
To enable racers to participate easily, Maruti Suzuki has simplified the registration process wherein people with valid driving licenses can get registered on the spot. Another stand-out factor is that the participants can take part in the event even if they don’t have a modified car.
Maruti Suzuki Autoprix 2017 (Season 1) was kicked off from Bengaluru on 8th September and will move to the East Zone next. Guwahati will host the 6th round of Autoprix which starts on 5th January and goes on till 7th.
