Volkswagen has announced its monthly sales performance for July 2017, selling 4,753 units, constituting a 10.5% growth as compared to 4,301 vehicles sold in the corresponding month of the previous year. Continuing the sales momentum for the year 2017 Volkswagen registered above industry growth rate of 13% year-to-date.
Commenting on the sales numbers, Steffen Knapp, Director, Volkswagen Passenger Cars India, said, “A positive market trend coupled with customers trust in our strong product portfolio, enables us to further strengthen our commitment to the Indian market. The positive growth in July 2017 is attributed to the strong and performance driven product line-up led by the recently launched Tiguan. The Tiguan has received a commendable response from the Indian market being the perfect companion."
The Tiguan has already established itself as a best-selling and safest car in Europe and is now creating waves in the Indian market receiving a huge response from our customers across India. The tough and impressive Tiguan currently demands a waiting period leading up to 3-months across India.
