Mumbai: The rupee recovered by 2 paise to 66.83 against the dollar in early trade today on mild selling of the US currency by exporters amidst higher opening in the domestic equity market.

Further, a higher opening in the domestic equity market influenced the rupee uptrend, they added.
On Thursday, the rupee had lost 13 paise to close at 66.85 on fresh demand for the dollar from banks and exporters.
Meanwhile, the benchmark BSE Sensex rose by 184.26 points or 0.66 per cent to 28,043.86 in early trade today.
