After the success of Master by Lokesh Kanagaraj, Thalapathy Vijay was next seen in yet another blockbuster movie Leo helmed by the same director. Leo starred Trisha, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Sarja, Mysskin, Priya Anand and other actors. The movie sent the fans into a frenzy who showered the film with much love. Now, the actor is gearing up for Thalapathy68 and an actress’s name has been revealed who has been roped in recently for the movie.
Ever since there has been an announcement regarding Thalapathy Vijay’s 68th movie, his fans have been eagerly waiting for each and every detail regarding the movie. Thalapathy68 is directed by Venkat Prabhu and also features Meenakshi Chaudhary as the female lead. Apart from her, actress Ivana (Aleena Shaji) has been roped in by the makers. The pooja for this movie was held in the first week of the month, however, the production company withheld the announcement due to the hype regarding Leo.
As per reports, Ivana, known for her role in Love Today, might be essaying the role of Vijay’s sister in Thalapathy 68. This might be an exciting and promising opportunity for her, who made her debut with the movie Selfish. However, there has been no official confirmation regarding the same.
Thalapathy68 has an interesting cast ensemble featuring actors like Mic Mohan, Jayaram, Sneha, Laila, Yogibabu, VTV Ganesh, Ajmal Amir, Vaibhav, Premgi, Ajay Raj and Aravind Akash in this AGS Entertainment production. Yuvan Shankar Raja is the music director.
Thalapathy Vijas was last seen in Leo, which hit the theatres on October 19. It was made on a budget of about Rs 250 crore. It minted Rs 620.50 crore at the box office and created a huge storm at the box office. The digital streaming rights of the movie were bought by Netflix and the satellite rights were acquired by Sun TV. The movie premiered on Netflix on November 24 and was released in Hindi, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam.
