Now, it has been found that the film is receiving a great response in Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu where fans have been rushing to theatres to watch the film. Reportedly, fans gathered outside theatres with posters and placards of Vijay and Leo. According to reports, it was found that many of them arrived at the theatres at 7:30 in the morning and even burst firecrackers around the cinema halls. It was also reported that tickets were being sold in black at high prices outside these theatres. This caused a lot of people to come to the venue in the hope that they would get the tickets.
The situation became so adverse that the local police had to intervene. Police barricades were also installed and fans were escorted one by one. Many tried to enter the cinema halls without a ticket. Police tracked them down and took them out of the venue. Vijay Makkal Iyakkam Thanjavur Leader Sarvanan urged the fans to celebrate the film without causing any damage and even asked them to protect themselves from landing in trouble.
Leo is directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and boasts an ensemble cast with Trisha Krishnan and Sanjay Dutt in pivotal roles.
