Sivakarthikeyan recently met Udhayanidhi Stalin and made a donation of Rs 10 lakh to the Tamil Nadu CM’s Relief Fund.

Different areas of North Eastern Tamil Nadu received excessive rainfall over the past weeks due to the effects of Cyclone Michaung, a tropical storm over the Bay of Bengal. Social media was full of photos and videos, which showed the city of Chennai and adjoining areas completely flooded, causing a lot of damage to property. Some celebrities have come forward to provide aid to those affected by the floods. Noted Tamil actor Sivakarthikeyan has now joined the bandwagon and donated a large sum of money towards helping those affected by the floods.

Sivakarthikeyan recently met with actor-producer Udhayanidhi Stalin of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) and made a donation of Rs 10 lakh to the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister’s Relief Fund. This donation is intended to assist those in Chennai and the surrounding regions, who were impacted by Cyclone Michaung. Numerous celebrities and their fan clubs offered their help.

Udhayanidhi Stalin, on December 10, announced on his X (formerly Twitter) that Sivakarthikeyan had given the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister’s Relief Fund a donation of Rs 10 lakh. He also uploaded a picture of the actor giving him the cheque.

Sivakarthikeyan is not new to charitable and humanitarian work. He had offered aid to those in need during the peak Covid-19 pandemic as well. A total of Rs 80 lakh had been donated by Rajinikanth, Suriya, Sivakarthikeyan, and Vijay Sethupathi to support the Film Employees Federation of South India (FEFSI) in the wake of the Coronavirus outbreak. Sivakarthikeyan had donated Rs 10 lakh back then as well.

Sivakarthikeyan had only one release this year, Maaveeran, directed by Madonne Ashwin. It was a fantasy superhero film, also starring Aditi Shankar, and was a big hit and received positive reviews. His upcoming film, Ayalaan, directed by Ravikumar, is scheduled for release during Pongal 2024. Additionally, he completed filming SK 21, directed by Rajkumar Periyasamy. Sivakarthikeyan also revealed that he will be working with AR Murugadoss on a movie that is tentatively titled SK23.
