Aligarh Muslim University Introduces 126 Self-financed Courses Across Multiple Streams
A few days earlier, the University launched 31 online courses on the Swayam Portal. The online courses commenced on June 21.

There are many universities and institutions across the country where students dream of studying but can’t fulfil their dreams as their preferred subjects are not taught in that specific university or institution. To address that problem many government universities have recently started to offer self-financed seats. Similarly, Aligarh Muslim University is a dream university for many students who have just passed the 12th board examination. As the university will start its new academic session, they have decided to start 126 self-financed courses. Earlier, the self-finance facility was available for students who wanted admission to agricultural subjects only, But, now this facility is extended to 126 streams including BA, BSc, MA, MSc, BTech, and MTech.

Talking about the recent development Zeeshan Ahmad, the advisor to the Public Relations Department of Aligarh Muslim University said, “The admission process of the university has already started. The results of the entrance exams of various subjects have already been announced. From the current academic year, the authorities have decided to take admission through self-finance in more than 100 courses including BA, BSc, MA, MSc, BTech, and MTech. This decision will help the students to get admission to the university who have failed to perform well in the entrance examination.”

He further explained that the self-finance process introduced by the university will surely help the students. He added that this decision is especially for the students who wish to get admission to a prestigious university but are waitlisted. He said, “There are many student who are on the waiting list after they cleared the examination because of their low marks.
