The Indian Postal Department (India Post) is expected to release the India Post Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS) Merit List 2024 for 44, 228 vacancies across 23 post circles nationwide soon. Once issued, candidates can check and download the merit list through the official portal of India Post at indiapostgdsonline.gov.in.

The GDS Merit list is prepared based on marks scored in Class 10th/ Matric from approved boards. Along with the merit list, the organization will release the cut-off marks and other details.

Going by past records, the authority releases the merit list two to three days after the correction window facility concludes. This year, the correction window was open from August 6 to August 8. The registration process was held from July 15 to August 5, 2024.

India Post GDS Recruitment 2024: Steps to Check Merit List

Once out, the GDS Merit List can be checked by following these steps

Step 1: Head to the official website of India Post, indiapostgdsonline.gov.in.

Step 2: On the homepage, click on the India Post GDS Merit List 2024 link.

Step 3: The list will be opened in a PDF format on your screen mentioning the candidate’s name and roll numbers.

Step 4: Download and save the file for future reference.

The recruitment drive aims to fill 44,228 Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS), Branch Postmaster (BPM), and Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM)/Dak Sevak positions across 23 circles in the country. The positions are spread over several states including 2,718 in Rajasthan, 2,558 in Bihar, 4,588 in Uttar Pradesh, 1,338 in Chhattisgarh, and 4,011 in Madhya Pradesh.

Candidates whose names appear on the Merit list will be notified through SMS and their registered email address. They must appear for the document verification round to get the final appointment to the posts of Gramin Dak Sevak, in their respective circles. The dates for the same will be notified over SMS. Moreover, shortlisted candidates will have to submit an undertaking in the format annexed as Annexure-IX, regarding liability in case of furnishing fake/incorrect information/details in the form.

India Post GDS Recruitment 2024: Documents Required During Verification

The aspirants need to verify the following documents through the Divisional Head mentioned against their names:

–– Class 10/SSC/SSLC Original mark sheets

–– Caste Certificate (if applicable)

–– Physically handicapped certificate (if applicable)

–– 60 days Computer knowledge Trained Certificate From a recognized institute.
