National Hydroelectric Power Corporation (NHPC) is inviting applications for a one-year apprentice training across different trades. It has released a total of 57 vacancies for ITI Apprenticeship, Diploma Apprenticeship and Graduate Apprenticeship. It has released a vacancy of 39 seats under ITI Apprenticeship which includes trades such as Fitter, Electrician, Draughtsman ( Civil), Surveyor, Plumber and COPA ( Computer Operator and Programming Helper). ITI certificate in the preferred trade is the essential qualification for the same. In Diploma Apprenticeship, Civil, Electrical and GNM ( General Nursing and Midwife) trades are available which has a total vacancy of 13 seats. Nursing, Hotel Management and Pharmacist graduates comprise Graduate Apprenticeship and it has 5 vacant seats under this recruitment drive. No application fee will be required for this recruitment drive. Candidates who are planning to apply for these posts should have an ITI certificate in related trade, a diploma in engineering or technology and a graduate degree from any recognised institute or university. The minimum age required by the candidates is 18 years, whereas the maximum age limit for the candidate should be below 30 years.
The selection process for the NHPC Apprentice Recruitment 2024 for the 57 positions is designed to identify the most suitable candidates based on merit and suitability for the apprenticeship roles. The initial phase of the selection will be merit-based. The candidates will be shortlisted by the marks obtained by them in their ITI, Diploma, graduation examination or equivalent academic qualifications.
The shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview. It will serve as an opportunity for the candidates to showcase their skills, knowledge, and suitability for the apprenticeship. It will be followed by the medical fitness of the candidates.
