Many of us aspire to become an army officer and be able to serve the country. While several of us prepare with extensive physical readiness, many go through the different tests to be recruited under any of the forces. In different defence forces in India, the highest number of soldiers are reportedly from Jhunjhunu in Rajasthan. Apart from that, the highest number of martyrs also belong to the same state.
With the dream of serving the country, a student of Class 8 from Shobhala Jetmal, a small village located in Barmer has embarked on the journey of securing the second position in the All India Sainik Schools Entrance Examination (AISSEE). Ravindra Bhadu, studying in Kendriya Vidyalaya has secured 390 marks out of 400 in the examination, which was conducted on January 28.
While talking to News18, Ravindra mentioned that he used to see the planes flying over his school very frequently. Additionally, he has also seen the airmen at the Air Force Station nearby, which intrigued him. Eventually, he started to dream of serving the country with bravery and skill. Through the examination, Ravindra has marked the first step of approaching his dream. It has also enabled him to pass the eligibility test for five military schools in the country.
Although Ravindra has secured the examination, he will be continuing his study for 3 years in the military school in any of the selected institutes in Bengaluru, Belgaum, Dholpur, Ajmer, or Himachal Pradesh. According to the reports, Ravindra mentioned that over a lakh applicants appeared in the examination.
Ravindra’s father Dhannaram works in transport while his mother Rajo Chaudhary is a teacher.

Following the registration and choice-filling stages, the shortlisted candidates will have to go through the document verification round. In this, the mark sheets and category certification submitted at the registration round will be verified.
After the verification, the seat allotment will be done to secure students.
