Former England captain David Beckham still want to continue playing for England.
He also said that England must now play Croatia with a positive frame of mind in the 2010 World Cup qualifiers.
The 32-year-old arrived in Australia over the weekend for a friendly match between his club LA Galaxy and Sydney FC. The former Manchester United and Real Madrid midfielder trained with his team mates at the Olympic Stadium.
Beckham then joined Aussie Rules player Dale Thomas and Rugby player Mark and displayed his kicking skills. Beckham and the Galaxy squad fly to New Zealand for a friendly against Wellington Phoenix on Saturday.
"No I hope so, I know how things can change so quickly in, obviously, in the national team. You know, eight months ago someone would have said to me that I'd be getting a cap and playing for England again then I probably wouldn't have believed them but I was brought back in and I got up to 99 caps and I, you know, I want to, I want to go on from there.
"I believe I can, I'm 32 years old, but I believe I've got the experience and the passion still to play for my country and I hope that obviously when the next manager comes in, that he gives me that chance, but we'll have to wait and see," said Beckham.
