After losing their eighth match this season on Saturday, Mourinho says a top-four finish in EPL and qualification for the Champions League is out of question.
London: Chelsea coach Jose Mourinho has admitted the reigning English champions may have to accept that a top-four finish is beyond them in the Premier league this season.
They slumped to their eighth defeat of the season as Glenn Murray's header sealed a shock 1-0 win for AFC Bournemouth at Stamford Bridge ground on Saturday.
Mourinho, whose side sit on 15 points, 14 behind fourth-placed Manchester United, believes that Champions League qualification may well be out of the question.
The first four teams of England league qualify for the Champions League.
"Before the game I was thinking we could finish top four," he said after the match on Saturday. "Let's think about the next game and forget the targets."
