Kylie Jenner and Jennifer Lawrence recently engaged in a frank and open conversation, delving into subjects ranging from pregnancy to motherhood and directly addressing persistent plastic surgery rumours surrounding them. The discussion, featured in Interview Magazine, brought to light their perspectives on the use of makeup to modify their appearances. Notably, Jennifer Lawrence took a bold stance and finally spoke about the ongoing speculations about her alleged plastic surgery.
Jennifer said, “I think it’s incredible what makeup can do because I work with Hung [Vanngo], who overlines the lip and I call him a plastic surgeon because everybody in the last few months since I’ve been working with him is convinced that I had eye surgery. I’m like, ‘I didn’t have eye surgery. I’m doing makeup. Apparently, I’ve had full plastic surgery.”
Jennifer Lawrence further pointed out ageing as a key factor contributing to her evolving appearance over the years. She disclosed, “I started at 19, so I get the before and after pictures from when I’m 19 to 30 and I’m like, ‘I grew up. I lost the baby weight in my face, and my face changed because I’m ageing.’ Everybody thought I had a nose job and I’m like, ‘I’ve had the exact same nose. My cheeks got smaller. Thank you for bringing it up’.”
Meanwhile, the Khy founder, Kylie Jenner, shared the backstory behind her fascination with overlining lips, a technique that inspired her Kylie Cosmetics lip kit line. Kylie candidly shared that her initial motive was to create the illusion of fuller lips through overlining, a practice she had experimented with before collaborating with professional makeup artists. While Kylie eventually opted for lip fillers, she underscored the misconceptions surrounding her transformation. She specifically addressed comparisons between her younger and current self, pointing to changes in her makeup techniques, such as eyebrow filling and contouring, and refuted claims of surgical alterations like jaw reshaping or eyelid modifications when comparing photos from her preteen years to her mid-20s.
Jennifer Lawrence has consistently refuted plastic surgery speculations. In a 2019 interview with Paper magazine, she stated that she had never undergone any surgical procedures, expressing her fear of the process. Instead, she attributed any transformative effects to the power of hairstyling, makeup, and fillers.
