Playing the Game
Log onto Animal Jam. Go to the Animal Jam website or app to log in. Enter your username and password and click Submit. Create an account if you don't have one already.
Click the party list. Once you've logged in, the top of the screen should showcase a series of buttons. Locate the Parties button, which should appear as a balloon and a party hat.
Go to the Best Guess party. The Best Guess party appears as a rectangle with one green half and one purple half, with white text saying "Best Guess". If the current party is a Best Guess party, select Go now! to enter the party. Click the icon to the right of the current party to see the parties planned for later in the day and find out when the next Best Guess party is if it isn't currently available.
Read the directions. After entering the party, Animal Jam may open a pop-up that briefly explains the rules of the game. Click OK once you're finished reading them.
Wait to join a round. It may take a few moments for a current round to end, so you may have to wait for a couple of seconds before you can join a round.
Read the statement. Once you join a current round, you will see a statement about animals at the top of the screen. The statement is either true or false, and you must choose which. Possible statements include facts about the size, diet, or status of an animal or bug, but the list of statements is updated on a regular basis.
Determine whether the statement is true or false. The left side of the screen is green, resembling grass, with a large checkmark in the middle, while the right side is purple with a large x in the middle. Make your "best guess" and decide which side to stand at. By going to the green side, you're indicating that the statement is true, while by going to the purple side, you indicate that the statement is false. If you're unsure, it's okay to wait a few seconds and see what the crowd goes with. However, don't be afraid to stand on one side even if everyone else is on the other.
See if your answer is correct. After about ten seconds, the answer will be revealed. The screen will either say "True!" or "False!" where the statement was. If your answer is correct, your animal will dance and you will gain ten (or more, depending on your multiplier) gems.
Adding On
Aim to choose the right side. Try to get as many answers correct as you can. Moving to different sides is part of the fun, so make sure to switch sides when you need to.
Increase your multiplier to gain more gems. As you get more answers correct, your "multiplier" increases. It starts at x1 when you first start the game, but with each correct answer, it increases by one, with a maximum of x4. As your multiplier increases, you earn more gems for each correct response. If you answer incorrectly, your multiplier resets to x1 and you earn no gems for that response. However, as soon as you get another correct, your multiplier increases once again.
Finish a round. After about ten statements, a "round" will be complete. A pop-up will appear stating how many gems you earned for that round. The pop-up will automatically disappear after a few seconds, and the next round will begin.
Talk to other players. The chat feature is still available when you play Best Guess, so feel free to use it as much as you'd like. You're allowed to give feedback about a statement or reply to other players' comments.
Express your emotions. Along with the chat feature, the expressions and actions are also available. You're welcome to express your emotions by using the expressions, such as showing that you're unsure about a statement or pleased that you answered correctly. You also have the ability to use actions, such as sitting or sleeping. Some people refrain from using actions while playing Best Guess because the animals dance if players answer correctly, so using actions may be confusing or misleading. However, the option is available if you wish to use it.
