How to View EPS Files on PC or Mac

Using an Online Viewer

Go to promote.3m.com/eps_viewer in a web browser. The 3M Art Viewer can display the contents of an EPS file in any web browser window.

Click Choose File. It’s the gray button below the site’s description. Your computer’s file browser will appear.

Navigate to the folder with the file you want to open. The file often ends with “.eps.”

Select the file and click Open. The name of the file now appears next to the “Choose File” button.

Click View Image. It’s the red button under the “Choose File” button. The EPS file now appears in your browser window.

Using Adobe Illustrator

Open Adobe Illustrator on your computer. You’ll find it in the All Apps area of the Start Windows Start menu on a PC, or in the Applications folder on a Mac.

Click the File menu. It’s at the top-left corner of Illustrator. If you’re using a Mac, it’s in the menu bar.

Click Open. This opens the file browser.

Navigate to the folder with the file you want to open. The file often ends with “.eps.”

Select the file and click Open. The EPS file now appears in Illustrator.
