The Mother Teresa Public School student jumped from the school building after he was scolded by his teacher.
New Delhi: A 12-year-old student attempted suicide by jumping off the school building in Delhi on Thursday morning after he was scolded by his teacher.
But the Class VI student of Mother Teresa Public School, Preet Vihar, reportedly gave a statement to the police that he tried to commit suicide after he was allegedly beaten up by the teacher.
The boy has suffered fractures in his legs and is being in a hospital.
Police are questioning the school authorities and the parents of the boy.
