Fourty-two monkeys were found dead in Nakhasa area of Sambhal district.
The police are suspecting that the monkeys were poisoned. The monkeys were found dead yesterday on Rahtol road, said the police.
The carcasses have been sent for postmortem to ascertain the cause of the death, police said. An FIR has also been registered in the matter and investigations are on.
