BANGALORE: A murder accused, absconding for the past six years, has been arrested in Kolar, police said on Thursday.Syed Ziaullah alias Babu (38) was arrested by a City Crime Branch (CCB) team on November 12 for allegedly murdering his friend Pyarejan, a plastic vendor, between Thavanampalli and Matham in Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh.Police said Ziaullah had developed an illicit relationship with his friend’s wife and was reporedly being blackmailed by Pyarejan who managed to extort over `3 lakh threatening that he would reveal the affair unless he was paid money.Unable to put up with his demands, Ziaullah decided to murder Pyarejan and allegedly stabbed him to death in Chittoor district in Andhra Pradesh in January 2005, police said, adding that he later burnt the body. He was absconding since then. Subsequently, the accused returned to Kolar and was living with the wife of the deceased, police said.
