HYDERABAD: Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) has demanded that the state government allow the students' indefinite hunger strike in Osmania University and release all the OU Joint Action Committee (OUJAC) and TRSV activists arrested by police all over Telangana region.TRS urged all the students to make the students' protest programme a success. The protests are to achieve two demands - deletion of clause 14(F) in the presidential order and introducing Telangana bill in the parliament session scheduled to start from August 1. The party warned the state government and DGP against obstructing the students's hunger strike.TRS leader E Rajendar, addressing a news conference here on Sunday, said that all the Telangana elected representatives had registered their protest against the central and state governments by quitting their posts. Even then, the Centre and State were trying to suppress the movement. "The situation is similar to the emergency days," he said. "The government has deployed additional forces all over Telangana and in university campuses. As of now thousands of students have been arrested by the police. In the name of section 144, police are restricting students' protest programmes," the TRS leader said.
