HYDERABAD: Chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy has invited entrepreneurs to invest in the state.
Speaking at a Regional Integration event of Entrepreneurs Organisation here on Friday, he said Andhra Pradesh was the ideal state for investment and the state government would extend all necessary help to the investors.He said agreements and MoUs worth Rs 6.50 lakh crore were signed during the CII Partnership Summit held in the city recently. Of that, Rs 1.25 lakh crore investments are from the public sector. Besides, about half a dozen defence units are coming to the state.

Reddy said that during his oneyear tenure many initiatives were taken for allround development of the state. Last year investment proposals worth `25,000 crore were cleared on a single day. Of those, 22 units have been grounded. In December investment proposals worth Rs 75,000 crore were received and agreements were concluded at the Partnership Summit.

"To provide employment to the youth, the government has launched a drive to fill 1.16 lakh government jobs and notifications for recruitment have been issued. The government has taken up the ambitious Rajiv Yuva Kiranalu programme with the cooperation of the private sector to provide jobs to youth,'' he said.
