Assets case: Confiscation ordered

BHUBANESWAR: The Special Vigilance Court, Bhubaneswar, on Tuesday ordered confiscation of immovable property of  retired Excise Superintendent Jalandhar Pradhan for recovery of disproportionate assets worth Rs 8.63 lakh. It has directed the Court authorised officer to confiscate the two houses owned by Pradhan at Amlapada and Keradi Mouza in Kandhamal district along with two hectares of agricultural land.Pradhan had joined service in 1967 and had become SP, Excise, in 1978. A raid was conducted by Vigilance in 1988.
