ERODE: Collector VK Shanmugam has ordered the SP and the RDO to conduct a probe into the complaint of sexual assault lodged by a IX Standard student against her school headmaster.It is stated that over 500 students, including many tribal children, were studying in the Bargur government HSS near Andhiyur. The collector received a complaint from a student against the HM Mohankumar. Following this, the Collector visited the school on Bargur hill on Friday.Later, he visited the hamlet of the student and held an inquiry. The Collector said that he had received complaints from two students on March 26. Their parents or relatives accompanied them, but an unidentified person brought the children. The Collector instructed the CEO to hold an inquiry on the issue and submit a report. However, the CEO, after the inquiry, stated that there was no basis for the charge made against the HM. “Meanwhile, I received information that one of the complainants had told her colleague that she will not be able to come to the school as long as the HM is there. Hence,I myself went to the school to hold an inquiry. Then, when I visited the girl’s house, she was not there. Her mother also denied that she did not receive any complaint from her daughter. As I am not able to see the girl, I have asked the SP and and RDO to hold an inquiry and submit a report within two days,” the Collector said.
