THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The working committee meeting of the Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) held here on Tuesday finally decided to go in for 'oneman onepost' in the party and also to have two general secretaries in place of P K Kunhalikutty.
This will be the first time in the history of the party that IUML will be having two general secretaries. E T Mohammed Basheer and K P A Majeed will be the two new general secretaries of the party of which Majeed will be in charge of organisational affairs. Majeed is regarded as a close confidant of P K Kunhalikutty."Mohammed Basheer will be having the overall charge of the party and Majeed will be in charge of organisational affairs,'' said Hyderali Shihab Thangal and P K Kunhalikutty after the working committee meeting. Both the leaders ridiculed reports that there were serious differences of opinion in appointing two general secretaries in the party.

Hyderali Shihab Thangal said that the decision to have two general secretaries was taken to strengthen the party. The new secretaries of the party are Kutty Ahmed Kutty, P M A Salam, M C Moin Haji and M I Thangal.
