New Delhi: Former Pakistan prime minister Benazir Bhutto on Wednesday named four suspects, who could have set off the two deadly blasts during her homecoming procession, in her letter to the government.
It is reported that Benazir has named Punjab Chief Minister Parvez Elahi, IB chief Ijaz Shah, former ISI head Hamid Gul and ex-Deputy Chairman of National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Hassan Waseem Afzal in the letter.
Investigators have also recovered the severed head of a second suicide bomber and forensic experts are in the process of reconstructing it.
The head of the first bomber was recovered a day after the attack. Twenty people are being questioned for any possible link to the suicide attack.
The convoy of the Pakistan People's Party (PPP) Chairperson, who had been living in exile in Dubai since 1998, was attacked on October 18 on her return to Pakistan killing 139 and injures several.
There has not been a sense of tranquil for Benazir ever since her return. On Tuesday two aides of former Pakistan PM have alleged that female suicide bombers have threatened to kill her and the government has banned her from leaving the country.
Meanwhile, Benazir has said she is mulling a "virtual" campaign for Pakistan's upcoming general election that will use phone messages and taped speeches to avoid violent attacks like the suicide bombing at her homecoming rally in Karachi last week.
