A good Samaritan will not be liable in any civil or criminal proceedings in connection with the case.

New Delhi: The Transport Ministry on Saturday issued guidelines to protect good Samaritans and also proposed a reward for them.

As per the guidelines, any bystander who rushes an accident victim to hospital will not be asked any questions at the hospital and will be allowed to leave.

A good Samaritan will not be liable in any civil or criminal proceedings in connection with the case.

If a good Samaritan reports an accident to the police, that person will not be held liable to give their personal details.
