CUTTACK: The Crime Branch investigation into the alleged Pipili gangrape incident has reached its conclusive stage. The investigating agency would soon submit its chargesheet in the case, the Orissa High Court was told on Tuesday. The condition of the victim girl, however, has not showed any marked improvement despite best efforts of the doctors treating her at the SCB Medical College and Hospital. The victim girl was still not responding to verbal commands though she was opening her eyes spontaneously. There has been no positive change in her health condition. All possible steps were being taken to treat her by involving experts from top hospitals of the country, the principal and the superintendent of SCBMCH in his affidavit submitted on Tuesday stated. While fixing the further hearing of PIL writ petition filed by Prabir Kumar Das to two weeks after, the division bench comprising Chief Justice V Gopalagowda and Justice BN Mohapatra has directed the Government Advocate RK Mohapatra to file further status report.
