City development works commence

BANGALORE: Urban Development Minister S Suresh Kumar on Saturday inaugurated development works in Kamakshipalya and distributed pension and widow certificates, Bhagyalakshmi bonds, vegetable pushcarts and iron boxes.He also inaugurated work on water pipelines between Meenakshi Nagar and Sriram Nagar and directed the Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB) to clean and maintain all the drains and sewerage in the city.Addressing the residents of the area, Kumar said, “We will put up boards with all the information of the project wherever the work in progress. Through this, people will be aware of the estimated cost of the project when it was started and when it is going to end, who is in charge of the project.If people find any irregularities in the work they [may] call the number which is displayed on the board.”
