Chief Minister Jagadish Shettar should be ready to resign if the Supreme Court judgment fails to uphold the interests of farmers in the state regarding Cauvery river issue, said former chief minister D V Sadananda Gowda on Sunday.
He said that the state can not expect justice from PM Manmohan Singh as he is playing safe for the political reasons and supporting Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa.
Former chief minister B S Yeddyyurappa will not retain his prestige if he joined another party, added Gowda. “Appointment of a new president to the state BJP will solve problems. K S Eshwarappa should be replaced as he is struggling to manage Deputy Chief Minister and party president’s posts,” he added. He demanded action against V Dhananjaya Kumar, who was recently replaced from post of representative of state government in Delhi.
