Congress MLC wants PM to begin purge

HYDERABAD: Noting that students and youth have hit the road in support of social activist Anna Hazare’s crusade against corruption, senior Congress leader and MLC Paladugu Venkata Rao has urged prime minister Manmohan Singh to consider the situation as a ‘golden opportunity’  and take steps to purge politics of all corrupt elements. “Anna Hazare has given the prime minister a sword for use against the corrupt and to create a corruption-free society. People want him to keep away corrupt politicians and executives and to take firm action against them,” he added.
