Cover fly ash while in transit: HC

BANGALORE: The High Court on Wednesday directed the Karnataka State Pollution Control Board (KSPCB) and cement companies in the state to transport fly ash through rail, and by road in closed containers if in small quantities. The judgment was ordered in a PIL seeking action against cement companies transporting fly ash in open trucks by road. Further, Aditya Birla Cement Company of Gulbarga has been ordered to transport cement in closed containers following complaints.
