Dandeli ACF murdered

SIRSI: Following an assault by some tourists at the Crocodile Park at Dandeli on Sunday, Assistant Conservator of Forests, Dandeli, Madan Naik died on Tuesday night in SDM Hospital, Dharwad where he was admitted with head injuries.A group of tourists in an inebriated state were said to be feeding meat pieces to crocodiles in the park on Sunday.When the ACF, who arrived at the spot with his family, advised them not feed the crocodiles, the tourists attacked the family leaving the ACF with head injuries and his wife and children with minor injuries.
