Delhi High Court extends AAP MLA Somnath Bharti's police custody by 3 days
Bharti had surrendered in South West Delhi’s Dwarka police station on late Monday evening with his team of lawyers. He was arrested immediately after surrendering. On Tuesday he was sent to two day police custody.

New Delhi: There's no relief whatsoever for Delhi's former law minister Somnath Bharti, arrested in alleged domestic violence and attempt to murder case filed against him by his wife Lipika Mitra. The Delhi High Court on Thursday extended his police custody by three more days.

Bharti broke down during questioning by investigators, who on Wednesday took him to his Dwarka residence where he came face to face with his wife, in connection with the dowry harassment and attempt to murder case.

The police also added Section 212 of IPC (harbouring offender) in the FIR registered against Bharti, and said that so far they have identified five persons who allegedly sheltered the legislator while he was on the run.
