WARANGAL: Police seized detonators from railway tracks between Pedda Pendyala and Nashkal railway stations on Kazipet- Secunderabad route on Sunday.Initially, it was suspected that unidentified persons arranged the detonators for blasting the tracks.Inspection staff found a plastic cover with 10 detonators and some electric wire on the tracks around 7.30 a.m. and alerted police.A special team led by AP Railway police DSP Dakshina Murthy reached the place. But Railway SP Dr Kanta Rao said that the detonators seized were not aimed at any destruction. They might have accidentally fallen from a train while being taken by a passenger, he said.Detonators should be coupled with gelatine sticks for causing damage. But there were no gelatine sticks found, he confirmed and added that some trains passed through the tracks in the night.
