In the past, the regulator had stopped Spicejet from offering a similar deal on charges of predatory pricing.
New Delhi: The Directorate General of Civil Aviation(DGCA) is examining the 1 rupee airfare scheme announced by Spicejet.
However, DGCA sources have reported that that the regulator is also of the opinion that the quantum of seats on which the offer is being made is too small a number.
The offer is available only on 1 lakh seats out of the 80 lakh that Spicejet is selling till the period of March 2016. In the past, the regulator had stopped Spicejet from offering a similar deal on charges of predatory pricing.
