Dumper set on fire by Maoists after private company fails to pay extortion

Ultras of a Maoist splinter group set fire to a dumper at Patratu in Ramgarh district, the police said in Ramgarh.

Superintendent of Police Ranjit Kumar Prasad said the extremists of the Jharkhand Jan Sangharsh Mukti Morcha set ablaze the dumper on Tuesday night.

They had demanded extortion from a private company engaged in coal lifting from Piparwar project to Patratu railway siding, he added.
