The Central Bureau of Intelligence is verifying 20 complaints of alleged misappropriation of funds by the Commonwealth Games Organizing Committee, sources said.

In a separate development, the Urban Development ministry has asked the Delhi Development Authority to provide all facts on the Games Village by this week. DDA's report sought by Urban Development Ministry is under examination for further action.

DDA's interim report speaks of deficiency and irregularities in construction of Commonwealth Games Village by leading builder Emmar-MGF.

The Emmar-MGF has been under the scanner for allegedly not executing the project of the development of the Games Village efficiently.

There have been reports of delay as well as deficiency in the execution of the project, which have adversely affected the image of DDA and CWG as a whole.

According to sources, the Central Vigilance Comission (CVC) has found discrepancies in tenders awarded for the CWG projects amounting to around Rs 8,000 crore.
