Deputy Inspector General of Police of Vellore Range and Chairman of the committee M T Ganeshmoorthy, Superintendent of Police of Vellore and senior member of the committee I Eswaran and other members of the committee gathered in the stadium to measure the height of P Banu, one of the candidates from Vellore.
Sources said that Banu’s height was 0.2 cms more than the fixed eligible height of 159 cms for women candidates.
